Used Car of the Day: 2008 Saab 9-5 Aero Sportcombi | The Truth About Cars
The year 2008 doesn't seem that long ago, although it is. It similarly seems like just yesterday that Saabs were still sold.
But, alas, Saab isn't really a thing anymore, at least not as a car company. So if you've got a thing for Swedish wagons, you'll need to find something like this used 2008 Saab 9-5 Sportcombi.
There are 135K miles on this one, which is for sale in Michigan. It has the Visibility Package, heated front and rear seats, and a moonroof. The seller has all the maintenance records.
Mods include a Stage 3 ECU, a performance exhaust, Saab intake with K&N filter, and all sorts of stuff involving the turbo and intercooler.
There are also lighting and cosmetic modifications.
Recent maintenance includes new brakes, front strut assemblies, valve cover gasket, tie rod ends, and more.
The only flaw here seems to be some rust.
You can get this Saab for $6,500. Click here to see more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.
